There is no disagreement here. All twelve governments that assess South Sudan advise against travel outright. Unanimity at the highest level is rare — most troubled destinations produce at least one dissenting view — and it means twelve independent foreign ministries reached the same conclusion separately.
Currency varies between sources. New Zealand's is the oldest assessment of South Sudan on file, last revised in November 2024, while the rest have been reviewed more recently.
